Alissa N. Winicki is the Department Lead for Estate and Capacity Law Litigation at Hummingbird Lawyers.

Alissa is a seasoned litigator whose practice focuses on complex estate disputes, capacity matters, and succession-related litigation. With a practice rooted in succession planning, estate administration, family law, and civil litigation, Alissa brings a comprehensive and strategic perspective to estate litigation.

Known for her ardent advocacy, Alissa approaches each file with empathy, precision, and tenacity. She is deeply committed to helping clients navigate emotionally charged and high-stakes disputes, and she is relentless in pursuing outcomes that align with her clients’ needs and objectives. Alissa regularly appears before the Superior Court of Justice, occasionally before the Court of Appeal, and her litigation experience is reflected in numerous reported decisions where she has acted as counsel. Her professional work reflects a strong commitment to excellence, mentorship, and legal education.

Outside the courtroom, Alissa is actively engaged in her community. She recently concluded her tenure as Vice-Chair of Covenant House Toronto’s NextGen Council and has participated in charitable initiatives, including the Fight to End Cancer, a competitive boxing fundraiser. Alissa leads an active and creative personal life, enjoying ultimate frisbee, motorcycle trips, cooking, crafting, and the periodic foray into brewing beer.
