While completing his articles at Hummingbird, Daniel benefited from wide exposure to the firm’s many practice areas. During this time, he built a strong connection with the Corporate/Commercial division, which he would eventually join. As an Associate, Daniel has also founded the firm’s Entertainment division, reflecting his true, niche passion.
Daniel’s work consists of incorporating, reorganizing, purchasing, and selling businesses and their assets. An excellent drafter, he also creates and reviews various corporate agreements for his clients, specific to their individual needs. The business of entertainment relies on these same practices, allowing Daniel to transition between these divisions seamlessly. As an Entertainment lawyer, Daniel advises creators of all different types in the pursuit of their goals in the film, television, radio, music, comedy, sports, and video game industries.
While in law school, Daniel largely targeted his studies to the interrelation between corporate and intellectual property topics to prepare himself for work in this niche area of practice. With a genuine passion for the entertainment industry and appreciation for the work of performers, behind-the-scenes workers, and executives, Daniel is always happy to take on new work in this field.
Daniel aspires to take on clients, not just their cases. Whatever his clients’ needs, Daniel is ready to serve them or point them in the direction of the lawyer who is best for the job.
